Sometimes all a gal needs is a nice cup of mint tea after a busy few days at work. Cup in hand, I’m happy to be at my laptop typing away. And tonight, I’m excited to share the cutest little DIY project my sister, Genevieve, did this weekend.
Crafting is all about reusing and reinventing, and that’s exactly what my sis did with some empty tea tins, ribbon and stamps. Alongside her roommates, she got to cutting, glueing and stamping in her kitchen while, and I quote, “singing along to Disney music”. Busted girl, the blogosphere knows your weird little secret.
Like a true DIY soul she refreshed the tins with some simple crafting TLC, filled them with her favourite teas and passed along the photos to share the fun.
Genevieve’s tea tin idea got me back onto one of the most fun and inspiring blogs, p.s. I made this... A site where ordinary objects are remade into incredibly unique accessories, clothes and home décor. With a super successful blog and recent book launch, Erica Domesek is a creative genius. If you can’t decide what to do with a handful of spare buttons, glitter or the likes, Erica will blow your mind with some crazy takes on the most ordinary items.
What do you have around the house that has some crafting potential? Send me some photos of your recent projects. I’d love to see what you’ve been creating.
