I love eating outside. Coffee on our balcony, brunch on a patio, ice cream on the beach, drinks under heat lamps, a picnic in the park. Feeling inspired by the weather, Martha, and our wedding anniversary, I planned a special picnic lunch for Chris and I on the weekend.
Considering the occassion, I tried to incorporate little details from our wedding like vintage dessert plates, stripped straws, the quilt used in our photos and mini fruit pies from the Calgary Farmers' Market that we served at our reception.
In the basket:
Lemonade & Evian
Cajun Almonds - Going nuts
Caprese salad - Mercato
Organic green grapes
Procuitto & Fig-spread baguette - Martha Stewart
Milk chocolate covered strawberries
Peach & Apple mini pies - Simple Simon Pies
The weather was similar to our sunny day last June 12th and we took time to eat, relax and look through our wedding albums- a tradition we hope to continue on our future anniversaries. It was special to remember our big day together and of course, to dine outside.
