I'm a few days late posting the second week of my June photo challenge, but to be honest, I've had some trouble getting great pictures this week. It's been rain, rain and more rain and it just so happens that many of the shots were supposed to involve elements of sun. Sun which ceased to shine.
No judgement, but I had to cheat a little to complete this week's photos. I am still the photographer of all the pictures and they were all taken on my Nikon D3000, but some were shot at a previous time. I'm committed to completing this photo challenge, but allowed myself to bend the rules a bit.
Sunset (this was taken on the beach in St. Lucia last June during our honeymoon)
Fresh fruit
Animal (The interpretation might be a stretch, but this is my kind of pet)
Silhouette
Sun flare (again, I tried for days to capture something un-cloudy but chose to use this photograph I took on the beach in Santa Monica, California)
Reminds you of your childhood (Greek food reminds me of visiting my grandparents as a child, so this is a collection of spices used in traditional Greek cooking)
Someone you love (embracing the rain and mud, I captured my sweet little sis, Brooklynne, in our back alley)
There you have it, a fun but challenging second week of photos.

I still think you should have taken a pic of Scrat (savage squirrel that lives next door) for the animal, but I like our pet giraffe as well. Also, I love the new design..lace and floral!
oh la la! i love the new look... you are one classy lady!.... three cheers for cumin and oregano!
