My mom is a myriad of wonderful things. A gracious hostess, a great listener, a creative homemaker, a loving wife, a stylish dresser, a sweet friend and now... a published author! For those of you who receive her famous Christmas card letter every year knew it was only a matter of time before she combined her creative writing skills with her infamous recipes, themed celebrations, gift ideas, and family activities.
Now wrapped up in a lovely magenta package is a collection of stories from her life that made growing up fun, joyful and inspiring.
(Gasp) I have an idea! I've probably exclaimed that hundreds of times over the past 30 years. My idea of an adventure is the Lord stirring His ideas within me, which then become precious and pleasant riches in our home. This little book is based on Proverbs 24: 3 & 4 which says..." By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches."
She is a woman of strong faith which is a constant encouragement to me. I'm excited to see how her array of ideas inspire so many more who also share a passion for truly embracing life.

I'll choose a winner at random on Friday. If you can't wait, you can also order a copy from Amazon.
Congrats to my amazing mom and thank you for sharing your love, faith and zest for life with others.

All you children made it so easy (most of the time!) to be all those things you said I am!... this life in Christ IS an adventure and partnering with you like this is another part of that!
I liked her on Facebook a while ago. My recent fabulous idea was our menu for our anniversary dinner on Friday. :)
I already "like" her, but my most fabulous idea moment... various craft ideas using scraps of old fabric!
I "Like" her a lot!! My most recent fabulous idea moment was grabbing some yummy meatballs from a local fresh pasta place to go with some leftover whole wheat pasta I've been trying to get rid of. Not that glamorous (as you can see, I could really use Stephanie's book!) but hey, that's student life for ya! Love your blog AJ!
so exciting! good idea! hmmm, my most recent fabulous (although i wouldn't describe it as "fabulous") idea would be embracing fall fully; decorating, warm drinks, comfort foods, wardrobe changes, outdoor photo shoots, and halloween chocolate!
my most fabulous ideas since starting my second year of university: buying a hot pink cover for my couch which still gets me excited every time i see it; starting a small gathering of other Christians in our very secular residence so we can connect and spend time encouraging one another every week; making worms & dirt tonight (reminiscent of my childhood) for the dessert potluck i organized as part of our floor meeting (RA duty beckons!) love you AJ and a big congrats to your mom! i can see where you get many of your crafty, creative ideas from now! ;) xox katelynn
I've "liked" this already ready too! But I think my latest fabulous idea has been in amping up my craft room! The chalk board wall is complete and it being well used. I have also put all of my craft supplies in miscellaneous sized mason jars all over- super practical and super cute.
I have liked it before! But my most recent fabulous idea is heading to a thrift store and finding 4 different items that I was so happy about! best idea I have had in a long time :)
